Nick Shy and the Disruptors is a new project from Nick "Tich" Rowney (ex-Shadow Fax, Dick Thrust). Nick has been active in the music scene in New Zealand and Wellington in particular for fifty years or more.

Nick and producer Scott Wylie started recording the album way back in 2010 but with Nick overcoming throat cancer and Scott moving to the US in between, it's taken a little longer than planned to create what is, at 70, his first solo album!

The album is a collection of murder ballads and protest songs. Songs that tell a story—songs from a dark heart.
